Issuance rate: 1 USDC = 10 KAT. KAT is metered service credit — no cash value and no redemption right.

How to buy

1. Sign an intent with your account key: message kat:pay:intent:v1: ‖ your ed25519 pubkey (32 bytes) ‖ the pack id (one byte), then POST /pay/intent with {pubkey_hex, signature_hex, pack_id}.
2. Pay the returned solana: URL with any Solana Pay wallet (USDC on the pinned devnet mint).
3. The poller verifies the finalized transaction and credits your account — one batch, exactly once.

The intent lives 24 h; up to 2 may be open per account at once (9 lane-wide). The CLI does all three steps: cargo refine topup --pack 1 (or without the flag to pick).

Disclosure

KAT is metered service credit for the cargo-refine network. USDC payments fund the service treasury; credits move treasury → your account and are never a mint on this environment. Purchases are attested per transaction (the kat:payevt: rows).
